:: It's 11:51 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!? :: Azumanga Daioh now has a claim on my soul ::

No kidding, the next layout is blue (I seem to like a lot of blue) and cute. ^^ I'm sure it will give cavities like my other layouts. ^_~

Anyways, while in Japan I met a really nice friend of Emi's named Wayne, who had this cute keychain on his bag. It was a really pissed person with her arms in the air. I liked it a lot so I picked up the keychains where ever I could find the catcher machines. (I started sticking in 200 yen in coins everywhere I went ^^;;) I got her on my second try. The first try was a girl dressed up in a Anna Miller's like costume with a cat hat and a Coneko-neko attached to the chain. Cute.

On the last day of the trip, I wandered into K-books and thought, "I might as well get the manga for the keychains I've been collecting." And its the best manga I've gotten all trip (aside from the entire set of Chie Waseda and Ohtori Sousa manga *_*). Its a collection of 4 panel vertical strips that feature a group of high school girls and their two teachers. Chyo-chan is a 10 year old genius who joins their class.

Another thing I picked up was Monthly Shoujo Teikoku. My first comment on the magazine (not even opening it just looking at it from a physical standpoint) is that a) its twice the thickness of an Amie (Asuka thickness) b) no back ad, which pretty much means front, back, and sometimes spine art. Which is beautiful since it makes you drool for unmarked versions. From a story point, I'd say it has a lot going for it, since Clamp, Chiho Saito, Ellie Mamahara, Haruko Iida, and the mangaka for Hikari no Ko is in this magazine, and supposedly the mangaka for Supersonic Angel Engine, which (on a side by side comparison with Amie) is better than Amie. Amie had Clamp, Naoko Takeuchi, the mangaka that did Juline (I am blanking out) and Chie Waseda. But Teikoku is doing a smart thing and most of their big names have stories that run as series. (or at least it seems that way. ^^) August's Teikoku was Chiho Saito art all around, and September was Clamp's Lawful Drug. ^^ (in the immortal words of my friend Gaya: yuuuuu-my!)

I will miss Fairy Mart and Liberty Used CD stores, and onigiri. ^^ I wouldn't have gotten thru Japan with-out onigiri. (I will have a quick onigiri review later) Yuuuum. I should have Chyo-chan up by the end of the week. So cute. ^^

Listening to: Okashi no Uta - Kerochan's song about his love for sweets (and Suppi's slow burn to sweet drunkeness ^^;;)

[ added later...]

Kristina - I don't mind at all. Ask me as much as you can while its still fresh in my memory. ^_^ I have some maps and printed guides I can probably send and some webpages floating around that were helpful pre-trip.

Listening to: Tokyo Babylon Image Soundtrack 1 (this CD is so cheesey and yet such a time capsule of late 80's early 90's music. XD)

:: It's 02:39 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!? :: ::

I leave for Japan tomorrow. YAY! YAY! I can't wait! Right now I am at Steph's place. Her parents will take us to the airport tomorrow, and then we get back on the 19th. I will try to blog from Japan. We'll see how that goes :)

In the meantime, here is an extremely silly conversation Steph and I had on IRC lat night with Becca. It started when I was looking at a yaoi fanart page with Steph, and on the front page of the site was a rather.... ecchi picture. Steph's reaction was so funny, she literally lurched away from the monitor with this EEEP! sound XD XD And the picture wasn't evan all that graphic... he had his dangly bits pixelated out.. Anyway, this is the conversation that followed XD

Do you love it when it digitizes? XD
*load page and BOOM nearly nekkid guy* errrp! o_o
n.n;;
you know Emi was commenting about that yesterday "why do they digitize when you know what they're doing, its seems pointless!"
even in a love hotel! where you'll see live dangly!
* FukuZILLA shrugs broadly. n.n;;
...it'd be fun to have a band named dangly.
then for concerts it could be Dangly Live!
if I had a DJ circle I'd call it Dangly so we'd be the Dangly Cicle or Circle Dangly
"Live on stange! Dangly!"
oh, haha!
XD
"presenting DANGLY! everybody give them a BIG HAND!'
WAhahahahaha!
we're very pleased to have DAngly here tonight...
you mean UP here tonight?
XD
XDDD
"do you want more dangly?" "encore! encore! more dangly!" *crowd roars*
XDDD
oh! oh! and then they could release a live album called Dangly Uncut...
or something
Dangly cut would be kinda.......... >.>
I forget the musical context that gets used in.
live albums or bsides or something, dunno.
Dangly! Uncensored!
Dangly......Remixed? @_o;
eek.
their first single- "Backdoor"
LOL
second single... "Slick"
third single, "Hard". XD
4th single "Non-Stop"
no no no its "The Dangly Non-Stop" Tour XD

At this point we decided that it was late, and we were getting hysterical, and should go to sleep, hahahaXD

Anyway, see y'all when I get back!

Okay I really meant to go to sleep and get rest, but things have been busy especially taking 3 maps and plotting out with little post it tabs where things are, like where Tokyo Tower is, the Shinsengumi Shrine (in Kyoto), finding the hotel in Kyoto... etc. @_@ Emi is at my house and we're plotting our strategy for attack-er our routes and locations. She just found Da Pump yaoi DJ (ph34r!)

I posted chapter 10 of Shape of the Heart, in theory it would be up on FF.net but its down. Its posted to the CCSakura ML. I look forward to seeing the reactions since it varies from chapter 9.

I *will* get doki-doki august up (ETA: Saturday)

Listening to: Emi randomly comment on DJ from the catalouge "ooh L'Arc DJ" (she's in the Idol section of the catalouge)

Hmmmm slight delay in the new layout for doki-doki. To be honest I almost want to leave it as Kazuma for the two weeks I'm gone. @_@ Laziness has come and hit me with a brick. Oh well...

Gotta run and catch the bus so I can pick up the Kyoto map and look like a tourist in Kyoto. XD Hopefully we can have a schedule and or general itinerary of where were will be in Japan. I hopeI didn't forget my glasses here in SF @_@ that'd so suck... gotta go find them. ^_~

Listening to: Hunter - Bjork

Archived the old page, ranting about Peru can be found here.

I've probably mangled the Japanese in the title of the page but I'm past caring right now. Sore throat, stuffy head, and some aches nothing that isn't too bad. ^^

I love Final Fantasy, can you tell? Yuna is really cool and I like how they designed her character. The way the layout designed itself (after photoshop crashing 3 times -_-) sort of led to this multi links thing. Mess around with it blog links and general page links are found on alternate pages. What you see is straight up entries here. ^^

Listening to: Erica America - St. Etienne (Sarah Cracknell rocks)
