Shape of the Heart is near completion. I'm suprised that I finished a fic so fast, and that it reads fairly coherently. @_@ (I think its the fact that I have finals and this huge 10 pg paper looming over my head ^^;;;).
I just need it beta read and need to finish the last two chapters. ^_^_v Anybody interested? ^^;; (its umm about 41 pages long, well 36 if you squish it all together). The prequel is at maybe 10 pages so far, but its probably going to be shorter (way shorter) than SotH. ^_-
Boy am I glad that I told Katie I'd meet her at 2:30. @_@ We get to go Ravioli hunting! =D Yayyyy~
Hank: Site5 looks like an amazing site hosting service! Random fact: Their offices are based in my hometown ^^;;; That's kind of trippy. Plus they can host multiple urls under one account and they have 50 subdomain capability! *Steph eyes Dreamhost and wonders why they're still charging her...* This is a hosting service I may switch to. =)

I have a friend who is a good friend, a very nice open minded yet opinionated friend who can't stop talking b/c its what he does best. Let's call this person A.
Now some things happened between said friend and another older friend (who is still very nice to me despite our differences and we get along very well...). Let's call this person B. Yet these two people never get along.
Now A thinks that B is a spineless person that thinks about nothing but herself. (which is true but still not the over all emcompasing personality trait). B thinks that A is a very nice person and (this is coming from knowing B longer than A) thinks A is very opinionated. (which I guess is the most political way to put it.)
Now here is where things come into play. I love both A and B dearly (for their own reasons) and maybe I am a soft hearted person that is always forgiving in the end (because thats who I am and its hard to change...) and despite all of B's bad faults (and according to many they are quite a few) I still like her and despite all of A's roasting I still like him.
However, A was never there to see why I see things differently and why B says things about me that are so bad. He believes I don't know those things. (Which of course is rather stupid since I know what kind of person she is...) A likes to point out our past history (between B and me) as if to turn my opinons about B, because (imo) he wants me to join the "Hate B Campaign" and to be honest, he wants to feel validated in his opinion. I refuse to take either side. B and I aren't close friends any more but we are friends, and I value friends as much as I value family. And with friends comes trust.
Last night (after a really great night of partying and drinking and hanging out with old friends and new friends from the debate team) I really sobered up during a car ride home. A was ranting about B's faults (yet again, and one of the faults was a rather big one that is sad and stupid) and I said that I didn't want to take sides on the issue and said no more. A proceeded to go into "Hate B campaign" to which I told him to "shut up" and A (being the person who cannot back down from a dare/challenge/or any freakin' conversation) kept talking.
Now when I ask someone to shut up its because I've heard it before and have unchanging feelings about the said subject, or because I'm tired and don't want to think, or its for some other random reason that seems valid at the time. A did not shut up and I finally yelled at him (3-4 or more times) to shut up. To which he explodes at me and says, "No one tells me to shut up, you don't want to hear this because its not what you think is the truth." To which I pretty much answer, "You were never there, don't say things like that."
Which is true. And yes I know those things but it does not change my opinion of what a nice person she is. A was invariably pissed and I stayed quiet for the rest of the night (I considered 2 or 3 times along the way to a friend's house to open the car door and get out of the car because I hated being in the same space as A, this was while waiting for stoplights to turn green). At the end of the car ride I get out and say "bye" and left with out turning to look back. (this is after more stony silence and dropping off poor Tanzy.)
I may be stupid in my decisions, and I may be stubborn, and I may be soft hearted, but they are my decisions, and they were made on observations that I made. Not on things that people say about each other. I have my own reservations about B but that does not prevent me from forgiving her and giving her another chance and being a friend. I'm not mad at A, I'm mad because he refuses to see it through my perspective.
Either way, it ruined a good night of fun, but it sure hell sobered me up. =P
Oh, I got my 3 Amie mags yesterday. They're so sparkly!

I'm also afraid to open an email reply. I sent out a scathing message to a poor person who stole images (probably not from me... but off or someone that stole from me...). I realize I was an absolute b*tch at the time. ^^;;;
Oh and I got a tea pot today with insulated copper cozy, it belonged to my mom but she let me have it. My aunt claims its an antique. ^^ I love it b/c it keeps my tea warm until it steeps to the color of coffee.

1) CCS Cosplay looks like its either tied for 2nd with Slayers cosplay or its a nice 2nd behind Sailor Moon cosplay. Granted there aren't as many CCS cosplayers as there are SM cosplayers but its still a large amount. If I see another Pink and black catgirl costume I will scream. (not really...).
2) I still want to do CCS cosplay. I guess its because I love CCS and I still want to cosplay Sakura. ^_^ (but what the costume is I won't say but I can guarantee that the wand will have to be hand made.)
3) Cosplayers are beginning to cosplay more and more lesser known characters from other series. (e.g. Menchi cosplay very cute!)
4) Janelle is the cutest CCS cosplayer in the Movie 2 dress. Its so pink! ^_-
Can't wait for AX or Japan when I run around cosplay stores and sparkle at all the stuff I prolly can't get. @_@
On another note I posted the DNAngel/CCS fic (which I once again thought /what am I thinking?!/ and then promptly posted it to the lists. ^^;;) Apparently there is a DNAngel ML (obviously since its such a cool series) but to be honest I'm very much afraid of posting it to that ML, I guess its because I'm more comfortable with CCS-verse than I am with DNAngel-verse. ^^;; I'll get around to posting it after feedback and some comments on tweaking Daisuke's character.

I don't go to church any more, I joke and say that I commune with God through sleeping through Sundays. But I affiliate myself with being catholic, I respect the catholic church far more than any other christian sect, but, for the love of God (no pun intended) I am not staunch catholic! My uncle reams me for not going to my cousin's confirmation ceremony (which I found out about at 4:30 pm today, see entry below) and he says "you should have done it earlier, you had time in advance." Thank you Mr-I-have-a-cool-job-at-Cisco, yes I realize I had all the time in the world before today, but I chose today to work on it all day. (He is my person of choice to maim.) What part of 50% of my final grade don't you understand. -_-
My grandmother (bless her soul) is the most sympathetic of everybody (even my parents). She won't force me to go to church, she understands that I am at a point in life where I don't want to go. One day I will want to go and I will go, but not right now. I don't argue with my parents because, they're my parents (whose wrath I fear beyond anybody's wrath).
My uncles on the other hand have no right and no say in how I view religion, they should not above all force me to go to church or to any other religious ceremony when I clearly have other priorities (well that I consider priorities in life). I wonder what they view as more important that they didn't do enough to have me become one of the "fold" or if I drop out of college and bum off the family? Can I claim religious persecution and live off the government?

Anyways, I picked up Newtype 5 which has a really cool
Angelic Layer character guide. (I started running around efnet as Dr-iichan. XD) I bought it for two things, this really cool picture that was a postcard that came from a Bebop set, and a two page spread on Pretear. Its very pretty I wish there wasn't text all over it. ^_^;; and got a crepe for lunch. =d Gotta go back or call Kino to hold a Newtype 5 for Katie and resist buying anything else (like Hana to Yume 10 and GanGan Wing 5...).

The link isn't Sakura Taisen 3 its actually this amusing picture of a set of Saikyuki dolls. The models are *gorgeous* but the dolls make me laugh. Maybe its because Sanzou looks a little too innocent and holy. ^_- The models Hakkai & Goku and Sanzou & Gojyo. Sanzou looks a bit more normal (he lost the crown and the veil ^_^).

Went to class got there really early (15 min! People were surprised!) Okay so I'm perpetually late but I at least go to class and I do all the assignments right. (I mean 2 hrs spent on finding and writing out debate definitions and examples and I get an A =P).
I picked up Bridget Jones's Diary earlier today, as of writing this blog entry I (and consequently 4 hrs later) I am at September. (I inhale books! o_O) But its so funny and so easy to read (once you figure out what v.g. means ^^;;) and the way Helen Fielding writes. I also picked up 1 Vanilla scented candle (in a Jar with lid) to give my room the smell of cookies, 1 lb of choco truffles (Sees gold box) for the Acen people, 6 pieces of choco truffles (3 eatten, 1 given to Kat at Borders, 2 for Tanzy to as a bribe) and 3 bagels.
Must stop I'm writing like Bridget Jones. (poor)

The layout was inspired when I was rereading Ender's Game for my comm project (next week! eeeek!). The page bunny came and bopped me on the head with a flower and thus this page was born. It took about 2 days to get it right. I had to sit down and design it by hand first. ^^;; This is based off of Ender's geesh (Army) which was the infamous Dragon Army that he whips into shape in a matter of weeks. Their colors were Grey Orange Grey (I took some poetic license with the color combo). *It gets spoiler ish from here so I'd read with caution.* The quote comes from Ender's Shadow which is the 5th book in the series. Petra attaches it as her sig at the bottom of her email like a modern "message in a bottle" type. I liked how it came out slightly retro. (after 2 days fiddling with this I'm babbling about it ^^;; okay I'll stop.) Demosthenes and Locke were two political writers that often wrote essays against each other. Most of the world had no idea that Demosthenes and Locke were Peter and Valentine Wiggin. ^^
Okay not to bore people with this, but can someone let me know if the border shadows are popping up on Netscape. Since I don't have Netscape I can't tell. ^^;;
I readded the original tracker code to the page and suddently I noticed more hits coming. o_o Very nice people who have been reading this blog off and on (*Steph gives them keeki for dealing with random babbling ^_^;;;*) and it sort of floored me that people would read it. ^^;;; Ironically I felt the same that my Tech&Comm teacher experienced when he found his name on a blog. ^^;;
Did I mention that I love Orson Scott Card books? ^_^
