+ Friday, March 30, 2001 ++ Its 03:00 a.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ Listening to: 1/2 - Kawamoto Makoto (The Ruroni Kenshin OP) Its so cute.
+ Wednesday, March 28, 2001 ++ Its 11:53 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ I feel really accomplished. I swam 1200 yards (which is about...45 laps?) but I managed to finish at least a 2/3s of the work out my sister mapped out for me. I finished this evil work out called Ladder (25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 125... 25) 25 yds being 1 lap. I finished that work out @_@. The rest of the day I walked slowly. ^^;;;I also took another nap. I must be getting old. O_o KEKI - Keekiland News Update 135 megs is a lot of space. o_o So I decided to host Lemonaide (lemon.keekiland.com) which will house ccs lemon fanfics (why don't ask it seemed cute at the time...) but that will be the last of the pages to go up (clique and finishing the Kerochan shrine and going over some minor details on other keekiland pages). Then I have to change all the links at anipike and inform people who link to those pages... @_@ I love making pages but the maintenance I could do with out sometimes. ^^;; Listening to: Die Sterntaler II - Heaven's Coins II soundtrack (Noriko Sakai is cool)
+ Wednesday, March 28, 2001 ++ Its 01:41 a.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ Oh no, that's not a slashy picture is it? (sarcasm) I was looking for some pictures of myself (yes myself) so I could give them to xiola so she could draw a picture of me as Keeki-hime for the Keekiland page. I was looking thru Linus Lam's AX2K page when I found that pic and I started to laugh and posted it to #y. Which promted these 4 lines. XD
Chibikero: hehehe 3 guys hugging each other cosplaying as guys someone has probably slashed... So yeah. Keekinews In other keekiland news, the following pages are up: fruit.keekiland the Kerochan Shrine is up, angelfood.keekiland the Suki Dakra Suki page has been moved (but the doki-doki page will remain until keekiland is at 100%). and tea.keekiland the Delicious! page is up (same thing for doki-doki delicious.), and keekiland is now up (the menu is now the index page). Oh they opened a boba tea place near my house (2 blocks) if the tea is good I need to find another way to go home x_x. I need to archive this blog don't I? O_o Listening to: L'Arc En Ciel - Ark (I need something to counter balance the sugary keekiland. @_@)
+ Tuesday, March 27, 2001 ++ Its 10:39 a.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ Keekiland.com - the fluffier side of shoujo manga Keekiland is coming along quite nicely (as long as I can get into my account from the school server ~_~). The kerochan shrine is about ready to go up (It needs a few edits and the tables need to be slimmed down some more...) as soon as I figure out the random talking kerochan generator. ^_^On other keekiland news... Keekiland has 2 regions filled (and now thanks to unlimited subdomain capability with dreamhost kowaii o_o) angelfood.keekiland (slightly long but its all one url no "/"s) which now hosts my Suki Dakara Suki page, and tea.keekiland.com which now hosts my delicious page. Subdomain capability is amazing. I could literally make each site its own url. (with doki-doki/pan/keekiland being the primary url...). o_o As soon as I get some response from dreamhost about Big Mail Box vs Dreamhost service I will start the mail service ^_^ and let everybody have an email (since I have unlimited alias capability o_o). Imagine empress@keekiland.com. ^_~ Listening to: the whirr of the comp lab at SFSU.
+ Sunday, March 25, 2001 ++ Its 04:13 a.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ ph34r the cuteness that is Kero-chan o_o Ummm... yeah... its up running and the pages are up and running and as soon as I get dreamhost to figure out subdomains, cup.keekiland.com and moon.keekiland.com will go up and their pages as well.I'd like to add that this is not entirely my idea. Keekiland was created out of Hank (GaleWolfDess) and my imagination mostly with the help of the rest of the #fy crew, who added bits and pieces of the keekiland puzzle. Keekiland has had its first battle (against the singing Mari Iijimas) and signed its first treaty (with Genkiland.net). Yes we need to get out more that's what Fanime is for. ^_- Listening to: *steph switches cds* Greatful Days - Dragon Ash (which I might add must be one of Chie Waseda's favorite bands b/c she always has them in one of her manga stories ^^;;) p.s. about the link above: *pastel warning!* ^_~
+ Friday, March 23, 2001 ++ Its 11:42 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ Yes o_o in a moment of clarity (well it seemed to be a moment of inspiration at the time...) I got the url keekiland.com. Scary as it seems, keekiland.com will become (what else? ^_~) a shrine to Kerochan, a clique, and a cute fictional land called keekiland. ^_~As soon as dreamhost figures out that keekiland is registered, the DNS servers and the planets align themselves, keekiland will be up and running. ^_^ Listening to: duncan sheik
+ Thursday, March 22, 2001 ++ Its 10:37 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ Today was an interesting day. Ok ok it was a good day. I don't want to jinx it or anything. =PI went to the fundraiser my debate team put up today. They served sandwiches (which were sorta hard to chew on my braces were protesting @_@) and watched them debate, and watched the teacher advisors run it. It was so weird, at that moment which should have been a moment of pride and happiness I realized that one day they won't need me anymore. ;_; And I wasn't doing this for the illustrious pay and the exciting travel either. ^_~ But somehow I found myself dealing with the idea that one day my debate kids will graduate and I won't see them again and one day I won't be needed at Balboa HS. ;_; I'm sort of sad because I've grown attached to the team and the teachers (hell even the security at the gate @_@). But I'm glad because that was the whole purpose of BAUD. Students go and coach and the teachers gradually learn the ropes and coach themselves. Afterwards I went and had Thai food with Tony and got a bag of keeki! =D They were individually wrapped slices of keeki that looked like swirls. @ I also got a book for 2 bucks at the used bookstore (I love used bookstores XD). aliealiechan~ I'm glad you got the postcard. Hope it made you feel better. =D Listening to: Hackers Soundtrack (this cd is so old!)
+ Wednesday, March 21, 2001 ++ Its 11:13 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ Whoever has my Wish music video, please return it. Its rare and I want it back.[amended: type: rant] Normally I don't mind it when people borrow my stuff indefinitely. I don't mind when people borrow money from me and never pay me back. I don't mind when things like that happen, but today I am tired. I'm tired of being the nice-girl. -_- I feel like I've been sort of run over by a car. Listening to: Moby
+ Monday, March 19, 2001 ++ Its 02:24 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ Round Trip to Japan for $31? XD Waiiiiiiiii. The reservation has been set (even the seats too!) and its official, Steph is off to run amok Japan! Nippon e ikimasu! Tokyo to Kyoto e ikimasu! Kowaiii! Its so weird to see the itinerary (we have e-tickets which makes losing them a lot harder ^_~) and to see my name on the flight list. etc etc etc.I will collect all the Shiina Ringo Paraphanalia I can get. XD Speech class was weird... let's say if I could astral project myself I would >_< it was so boring I wanted to beat myself silly with my table. I'm also working on a page idea that goes thru so many paper drafts its driving me mad. -_- My Batgirl page is driving me up the wall, the content is fine, the layout never looks good on paper. RAR. Listening to: The Ark CD - L'Arc En Ciel. (I love Arc & Ray its like the peak of L'Arc music imho...).
+ Sunday, March 18, 2001 ++ Its 12:50 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ Ahhh the whirrrr of a SPARC5... My mom got a workstation at home (ie work at home ya! ya!) ironically it all began with a little alphanumeric pager (then a cell phone, then a pc, now a workstation with DSL =)...). The screen resolution size is like a breath of fresh air (compared to the teeny 13" in SF...). But the color capability is a bit pixelated... but why am I complaining? Its DSL!Hahahahaha I love ebay, bid! bid! bid you manga crazy people! Take my unused unassembled stuff! Gyahahahaha! Listening to: the whirrrrrr of the workstation.
+ Friday, March 16, 2001 ++ Its 02:01 a.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ This blog layout is "Gak I need insulin! (ver. Cotton Candy - 6.0)" The layout was actually an inspiration from looking at some wish pages. =)Wish is my favorite Clamp manga series, its why I picked up the nickname Rurichan. =) Usyagi-chan is the visual representation of my plotbunny. In the manga series Usyagi-chan is a messenger from "kami-sama" (God) and delivers messages in the form of flowers. My plot bunny isn't as nice, he *baps* me upside the head with a flower (a plot thread) and then flies quickly away. ^_^;;; Listening to: Play - Moby (this album reminds me of mellow techno mixed with Deep Forest...)
+ Friday, March 16, 2001 ++ Its 12:30 a.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ Setting of metal detectors at an airport near you! I got my lower braces on my teeth today, so now when I smile I have bands of metal. If you see me from a profile view you'll see brackets cemented to my teeth trying to get them straight. >_< The lower jaw reacts differently to teeth being moved. My upper jaw screamed in pain which was solveable with painkillers (600 mg Ibuprohen yay!) but the lower jaw just "tingles" sort of like the roots of my teeth are "itchy". Its so annoying cuz painkillers can't fix that. ^^;;Lesson #1: never mess around with the braces on the first day of tightening, its painful. I tried this when I pushed back on my teeth with a finger. It hurt. Lesson #2: Ice cream numbs the "tingly" feeling when the wire is first set in (its better than pain killers in the first 24-48 hrs) Lesson #3: Never hit your lip against something, the brackets cut into your inner lip and bleed. Ouch. No OJ for me. Listening to: High Life - Mono
+ Wednesday, March 14, 2001 ++ Its 01:20 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ Onimusha is out! The game where you have to stand on your fallen opponent to get your sword out! The game where its so realistic that the trailer gave me goosebumps! The game where you use a Katana and a shuriken! The game that is so beautifuly rendered that they even added sunset lighting effects and shadow! XD The game where your character develops as you go through the game! The game that has the main character modeled after and voiced by Takeshi Kaneshiro! (ok that one pales to the whole sword wrench thing...) Repeat. The game where its so realistic you have to wrench the sword out! *goosebumps* Ok so that sounds gory and violent but I want it! **_** This game looks so goooooood. T_T I must get a PS2 NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! NOW! So yeah... Kessen II ***_*** I want this too, its like being a commander of your own army. Wooooo! I love PS2.
+ Wednesday, March 14, 2001 ++ Its 12:57 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ I'm finally getting off my butt and putting things up for ebay that I meant to. ^^;;;Ribon Summer Special 2000 - this issue is not part of the subscription and I picked it up in LA Kino in August. Its actually a cool magazine but since I don't read the stories in them... you get the idea. =) Mint no Bokura Note Set - I was originally going to auction it off with a furoku collection but these two notebooks are so well done that I decided to sell them as a set. Mint no Bokura Furoku Set - this is a collection of 4 furoku from the manga series Mint no Bokura (I'm suprised since DaDaDa! has more furoku...). DaDaDa! Furoku Collection - this furoku collection is a selection of various furoku from the manga series DaDaDa! ^^ DaDaDa! Stationary Set - this stationary set is from the series DaDaDa. =) Post Birthday I went out to cheesecake factor for my birthday. ^^ It was really fun and I'm glad my family called me to wish me happy birthday! =D I miss my family. ^^;; Listening to: ---
+ Monday, March 12, 2001 ++ Its 10:16 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ I finished Saiyuki icons, go look! Also, Tama-Neko made a really cool KKJ wallpaper =D go look! Listening to: Kissing You - R&J soundtrack (too lazy to change the cds)
+ Saturday, March 10, 2001 ++ Its 10:56 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ I'm having a moment of reality panic. ^^;; I just realized what I got myself into and the realities are hitting me. I chose this career and I'll stick with it. Its right for me. I guess you could say that while in college I've been trying on different "clothes" and "law" was the one that fit best. ^^;;;But the reality of paying for it and going away to some school and being among other law school students who are probabaly better than me scares me. The one thing I'll like is that its a subject I'll like (once you get thru Law GEs...) that's not a problem. The major I chose at SFSU is sort of geared towards it (as soon as I get my ass into a Humanties or Speech dept and ask for an advisor...). This is what I want to do. Btw: Median GPA's for [UCB - Bolt Law School - 3.81 O_O][UT Austin - 3.46][GWU - 3.46] so its not that bad but its not good either... There's always a masters in Rhetoric. ^_~ Listening to: R&J soundtrack 1 & 2 (on shuffle) =D
+ Friday, March 9, 2001 ++ Its 11:17 p.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ Now up: PA.N ^_~ (Poisonapple.net) Aiyeeeeeeeeeee! Its up! *steph bounces off the wall* and 4 days before its launch date =D. I wanted to put it up for my birthday but I couldn't wait. All pages are up and running except for "Sites" because there's nothing to put there yet.Ender's Shadow As a pre-birthday gift I also recieved Ender's Shadow (1st Edition Hardcover version used). I'm almost done (about 50 pages left maybe?) Its sparkly! And I'll reread it a few times again and reread Ender's Game to reorient myself with the stories. But Charles, this book albiet good and stands alone, its not Ender's Game ^^;;; I still like Ender's Game more than Ender's Shadow, but I like Ender's Shadow second (its got the same pace). I can't describe how good this book is. ^^;; Its just perfect. ^^ I can easily see how Bean slides easily into the book Shadow of the Hegemon. Infact I can see how OSC is setting it up. The ending isn't surprising either. Mailing List Musings part III Maybe its just me but when someone posts rules about mailing lists you follow them right? Most people have a clear sense of what is on-topic and off-topic (or in debate-speak topical and non-topical). But people still break that rule. Like this one message I got on one of my mailing lists. The poster actually acknowledges that the mail she is sending is off-topic but asks for help on her question, she doesn't label it as [OT] (off-topic) she just sends it! The mailing list is clearly labled for a specific forum and messages like those just sort of irk me because they turn into threads that are off-topic and that waste my time and my mailbox space! It pisses me off that people violate rules and post things in forums that aren't specific to their question! IMO (because its not humble) it lessens that person's credibility. I understand when someone posts a Ebay [OT] message because that's the kind of message that's a one-shot. That's just me. It bothers me that's all. Listening to: Romeo & Juliet OST 2 - Tybalt Arrives (the lines used in this part of the music are beautifuly done and slightly slashy ^_~)
+ Friday, March 9, 2001 ++ Its 01:48 a.m. why isn't Steph asleep yet!?! ++ Line and Form: Steph's Portfolio Ok its small and it doesn't deserve the title portfolio but no one needs to know that. ^_~PA.N is shaping its way to be its own page. I changed links around (Guestbook is now titled as sites so I can add the shiina ringo page there.) The portfolio page was what I was mainly working on. But that's finished and now I can relax and do homework tomorrow. eeee! I hung out with Tony today (I had steamed chicken with ginger sauce on rice! =D) and got boba tea, some hanging file folders, and a used copy of Dune by Frank Herbert. (I like this book ^_^). I did splurged a little and I probably won't spend like that again (unless I finish Dune and need to get Dune Messiah ~_~ but now that I know various used bookstores around the area that won't strain my wallet.) I am trying to read 1984 but the same as seven years ago the book is boring (nicely written and prophetic yes, boring yes!) it puts me to sleep ^_^;;; Age of Spiritual Machines is more interesting than 1984 o_O However there are some books that I am drooling over. Ironically they're random technology books. Technoromanticism: Digital Narrative, Holism, and the Romance of the Real (Leonardo Books) one of the first critiques of technology I've seen (minus the Bill Joy article), The Digital Dialectic : New Essays on New Media (Leonardo Book) A book about the *rhetoric* of technology! (waiiii! waiiii!) Ok so they're weird books to drool over but considering I want to write my thesis on technology (the Speech Comm Major with the comp sci minor...) they're books that would be interesting reads (slow reads but interesting reads). P.S. I archived. Listening to: The Romeo & Juliet Original Motion Picture Soundtrack vol 2! (The whole CD is great! XD)
